Intensive EMDR

BY PROVIDING RELATIONALLY FOCUSED EMDR ALONG WITH ADVANCED PSYCHOTHERAPY METHODS WE PARTNER TO:

  • Discover the origins of limiting beliefs in order to update OLD NARRATIVES about how you get to show up in the world, who you are and WHAT YOU DESERVE.

  • Alleviate anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms through a positive, growth-oriented process grounded in the philosophy that everyone is seeking wholeness.

  • If you’ve been thinking about scheduling weekly EMDR sessions, but find that a weekly appointment doesn’t fit in your schedule, feels more overwhelming than helpful, and you don’t want to be in therapy for years, then EMDR Intensives may be for you. They are an effective way to address symptoms and problems quickly rather than spaced out over weeks, months, and even years.

  • EMDR Intensives are more focused because you are able to provide a lot of information up front which helps me hone in on your trauma and how to address it much faster than weekly sessions. Additionally, in weekly sessions that are 50 minutes you have to stop just as you’re in the middle of your processing.

EMDR sessions provide more of an in depth, or deep dive, since sessions are 3 hours long instead of 50 minutes.

Personalized treatment plans allow you to skip the waitlist by giving you access to select spots. I’ve also found over the last couple of years that clients I meet with move through treatment at a much faster rate. I’ve seen an average of 5-8 months of work done in the 12 hours of an Intensive. That is different for everyone. It is important to remember that everyone processes at their own speed, so some people’s brains might process faster or slower than others.

I offer a flexible schedule for people wanting more immediate results than just weekly sessions have to offer.

You will also receive my customized workbook that is tailored to fit your specific goals, which will be there to guide you before, during, and after sessions.

Research supports the effectiveness of EMDR Intensives.

  • Intensive application of trauma-focused therapy seems to be well tolerated in patients with PTSD, enabling faster symptom reduction with similar, or even better results, while reducing the risk that patients drop out prematurely. Learn more here and here.

  • An intensive program using EMDR therapy is a potentially safe and effective treatment alternative for Complex PTSD.

  • The economy is compelling: Even compared to other trauma therapy, the intensive format may decrease treatment time because of time not spent on 1)a session check-in, 2)addressing current crisis’ and concerns, 3)a focus on stabilization and coping strategies that the client won’t need after trauma healing, or 4) assisting the client in regaining composure at the end of the session. • Intensive EMDR treatment is feasible and indicative of reliable improvement in PTSD symptoms in a very short time frame.
